Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CPRA) gives California residents certain rights regarding the personal information that businesses collect about them. It also gives them the right to opt-out of the sale and sharing of their personal information. California law defines the term “sale” very broadly to include any exchange of information for consideration of any kind. “Sell,” “selling,” “sale,” or “sold,” means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for monetary or valuable consideration. While we do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense for the exchange of any monetary consideration, we do disclose your information with third parties for other purposes so we can operate our business efficiently and service our customers and users.

 “Share,” “shared,” or “sharing” means sharing, renting, releasing, disclosing, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration, including transactions between a business and a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising for the benefit of a business in which no money is exchanged.

“Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information,” to the use or disclosure of the consumer’s sensitive personal information to only those uses authorized by the consumer, unless the consumer later provides consent for the use or disclosure of the consumer’s sensitive personal information for additional purposes.
